Watch JoJo Effortlessly Demolish SWV’s “Weak” Acapella On Tour

Everyone’s favorite pop star who knows why the caged bird singsJoJo, is out on a little West Coast tour with her friend Leah LaBelle (also a prodigious talent who hasn’t seen as much success as she deserves). The two divas kicked off the tour last night with a lively set in Tempe, Arizona, which featured a rare treat — JoJo revisiting her 2004 debut not to sing her teen pop classic “Leave (Get Out),” but instead to reinvigorate SWV‘s 1992 hit “Weak,” which she covered on that first album nearly ten years ago.

Singing entirely acapella, Jo showed off her diva chops — she remains the most jaw-droppingly talented live vocalist I’ve ever seen — and it comes through even in this video footage, as she strips the song back to its barest essentials. It’s a must-watch.

Check it up top. (Also, go see JoJo and Leah on tour.)
