Two arrest warrants have been issued for Katt Williams for punching a man in the face and the incident was caught on audio tape.
The arrest warrants for the funnyman include battery and false imprisonment, stemming from an incident at the Four Seasons hotel in November.
According to the police report, Merion Powers claims Katt invited him to the hotel to discuss a debt — when Powers sensed trouble was brewing he pressed the record button on his cell phone.
The police report stated, “Mr. Williams was on audio recording stating that he did physically strike Mr. Power’s once in the nose” and that Powers’ nose “did show signs of swelling.” The comedian wasn’t arrested at the time but warrants were issued on December 28.
A source close to Katt said that Powers was attempting to extort the comedian over a musical recording made by Williams, and when Williams told Powers to eff off, Powers’ friend called hotel security. Of course hotel security then called the police, but they were said not to believe Powers and left without arresting the comedian.
Just days before the hotel incident, Katt was arrested for breaking into a Georgia home and was released after posting $40,000 bail.
