After a long public feud, Candy Spelling has reconciled with her estranged daughter Tori. Read what Candy Spelling had to say about their relationship now.
Candy Spelling talked with US Magazine on Thursday about her daughter.
“We have been communicating,” Candy Spelling said during an interview at Spelling Manor. “And we’ve taken it to a place that I’m very very pleased with.”
This past summer Candy, 63, slammed Tori for her reality show Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, saying she used her two young children as “reality show props”.
Candy said that actually she felt hurt about how she was characterized on the reality show. And Candy refused to go on the show for a reunion on camera.
Things have been nasty between Candy and Tori since the death of Aaron Spelling in 2006. Candy even stated that Tori had abandoned her father on his deathbed. “That’s what killed my husband actually,” she said in a radio interview. “He just didn’t want to live after that. You know, he had done everything … he could possibly do for his daughter and she wanted no part of him once he couldn’t do anything for her.”
But their relationship seems greatly improved now. Candy said, “We’re handling it privately.” And she added, “I’m very happy to say that that’s how we’ll deal with it at this point. I’m so happy. That’s all I want to say about this topic — I’m happy.”
That’s great news… life is too short to feud with family don’t you think?T
