Four new cast members have been added to the 2010 remake of “Red Dawn” and Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s son is one of them! Read more on Connor Cruise’s big role below.
Thus far the cast will be as follows:
Josh Hutcherson will play the role of C. Thomas Howell; Isabel Lucas will play the role originally played by Lea Thompson; Edwin Hodge will play part Brad Savage originally played, and Connor Cruise will play the role originally played by Darryl Dalton.
If you don’t remember Red Dawn, it was a 1984 action movie about a group of teenagers who form an insurgency when their town is invaded by Chinese and Russian soldiers.
Other actors already cast include Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki.
Cruise is playing Daryl, the mayor’s son and best friend of tech geek Robert.
The cast will attend military training in an undisclosed location. Shooting for the movie will begin in Detroit and is scheduled for a September 2010 release.
