No, actually, it smells like getting revenge on the men who have wronged you by eviscerating them in song and deploring their behavior. No, actually, it smells like the beach of Rhode Island, a freshly painted patio, long nights playing Joni Mitchell on vinyl. No, it smells like the cobblestone streets of Paris after the rain.
No! It doesn’t smell like any of those things. It smells like “fruits, florals and woodsy scents.” Also, it’s “sweet” and “sophisticated” and “classic, yet modern.” Sigh. Taylor Swift, you guys. What a class act.
Yes, the superstar’s latest fragrance, called simply Taylor, hits retailers this July, and she’s just unveiled details (although the details are admittedly vague) as well as an ad for the perfume, her third (following Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck Enchanted). “My first two fragrances were more about fairytales,” she explained in a statement, “but this fragrance is more about my own style, so I wanted the name to be more personal.” And there you have it.
