Major props to Taylor Swift for swooping into Nashville’s Sommet Center and seizing the Female Vocalist, Album Of The Year, Video Of The Year and Entertainer Of The Year categories at the Country Music Association Awards last night. This is probably the point where you insert a Kanye West joke, but let’s just skip over that.
“I will never forget this moment, because in this moment everything I have ever wanted has just happened to me,” the teary-eyed 19-year-old said when she took to the stage after becoming the youngest artist to ever clinch the Entertainer Of The Year award at the annual CMA event.
So, in tallying this all up, Taylor’s album Fearless has sold over four million copies since its release last November, she swept the CMA Awards and set a record for the show all within a week of hosting Saturday Night Live, and she’s rumored to be dating arguably the most popular actor in the world right now. Maybe she can finally consider this redemption after the whole VMAs melee, and TV writers can put a suspension on all gags Taylor Interruptus?
Anyway, if you’re the prying type who wonders how Swift celebrated her epic win in the early hours of this morning, thankfully she took to Twitter to let you know:
“Just wrapped up a cereal party with my mom and dad at the kitchen table. What a night.”
Mmmm. Crunchy! Here’s Taylor performing “Fifteen” at the 2009 CMA Awards:
