Taylor Swift Goes Retro Chic On New ‘Elle’ Cover

Taylor Swift is no stranger to the Elle cover world, but now the pop-country ingenue returns to cover the fashion mag’s March 2013 issue — and she’s sending a nod to mod on the cover, with a yellow-squared number and newly signature blunt bangs. Her high fashion spread in between Elle’s sheets travels throughout time, with Swift looking disco chic one moment and damn near modern Victorian in the next. Say what you will about Taylor, but never say she has anything less than a versatile face!

The magazine cover’s tag line says Swift is “Breaking Hearts, Climbing Charts & Dealing With Rejection,” so perhaps she has a therapy session with writer Lizzy Goodman. At the very least, there’s bound to be some emo moments about her ex Harry Styles, if the notoriously press-sensitive chanteuse decides to divulge. We’ll find out when the issue hit stands — and meanwhile, you can catch Swift tomorrow opening the Grammys. (Hopefully with bangs.)
