Miley Cyrus Whips Out Her Boobs On Instagram (Again): See The Pop Diva’s Sexy Bath Antics

It’s been a minute since Miley Cyrus stripped off for a magazine shoot or single cover, so last night’s (September 30) sexy Instagram spree will come as sweet relief for restless fans thirsting for new nudes. The Bangerz diva really came through with an alluring bath pic. She’s topless — of course — with shiny disco balls cover her nipples. Now that’s what I call ARTPOP.

The 21-year-old also shared a bath video (it’s pretty tame by her standards) and another topless pic in bed, this time with flowers covering her breasts. “I like this daisy tit edit,” she elegantly captioned the black-and-white image. When is Miley going to come back with new music? Pop is really boring without her attention-whoring ways and iconic self-promotion. See the other pics and video after the jump.

Do you prefer the disco balls or flowers? Let us know in the comments below.

Sam Smith Talks Album Success & Tributing Whitney Houston With ‘On Air With Ryan Seacrest’: Watch

dd673e206c0e88b9bf64b9fc965fa0f6 Sam Smith Talks Album Success & Tributing Whitney Houston With ‘On Air With Ryan Seacrest’: Watch
Happy Sam!

Sam Smith recently sat down with Ryan Seacrest to chat it up on his radio show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest. In the interview, the “Restart” crooner spoke about how he’s handling the great success of In The Lonely Hour and that he’s started to write songs for his next album.

The singer reveals he was a bit nervous to release his debut, as he didn’t want people to think he was miserable: “I was scared before releasing this record because obviously Adele did her sad record, and there’s a lot of sad music out there. I don’t want to be sad as a person, but it’s where I was last year.”

He also shares the story behind “I’m Not The Only One,” which was about a married couple that he knew: “That song always makes me laugh, because I was really hungover when I vocaled it…it all added to the vibe. That very vocal was a hungover vocal!”

Smith also reveals that he prefer listening to female singers over male ones, citing acts like Whitney Houston as his inspiration. “That was completely stir of the moment,” he said about his cover of the icon’s “How Will I Know.” “We were sick of singing the same songs and talking about the same things, so I decided to spice it up a bit. I feel like it’s a beautiful way to remember her without trying to copy her.”

Mary J. Blige (whom he recorded a duet version of “Stay” with) called the radio to gush over Smith: “This is why I consistently call Sam ‘a gift’ because we haven’t had this in a minute, and this is a blessing to so many of us, like people are coming in droves because it’s like his voice is just therapy for people, you know.”

Watch a clip of the interview up top, and listen to the rest here where Smith discusses what he’d name his army of fans and his love for Lady Gaga.

Behind The Boards: How Ricky Reed Became One Of The Game’s Hottest Producers

Ricky Reed was perhaps better-known as the frontman of hip-hop/pop collective Wallpaper until he co-produced Jason Derulo‘s monster hit “Talk Dirty” and instantly became one of the game’s hottest hitmakers. The influence of that song (and its killer sax hook) can be heard in everything from Ariana Grande‘s summer smash “Problem” to Cheryl Cole‘s UK chart-topper “Crazy Stupid Love”.

I spoke to Eric (his real name) about the creative process behind “Talk Dirty” — it was originally intended for Missy Elliott! — and the opportunities that have since come his way. Like production duties on Fifth Harmony‘s recent earworm “Bo$$”, Jessie J‘s current single “Burnin’ Up” and an unlikely but exciting collaboration with country superstar Tim McGraw. Read our Q&A after the jump.

How did you get to work with Jason Derulo?
I was first brought in to work with Miles Beard — he’s a DJ who works for the label. He brought me in to work on something else, and by the end of the session he was like ‘Hey, you gotta hear this song that I heard while I was on vacation in Tel Aviv.’ And he played this Balkan beat box song with the saxophone part in it and my mind was blown. He was thinking Missy Elliot, and I was like ‘Of course, I love Missy Elliot. Let me do something with it.’

While working on my own album, I spent time just flipping it, adding some big bass and arranging it in a way that made sense. Then I sent it back to him. A couple full moons later, they told me ‘Jason Derulo sung the record and it sounds great!’ I was like, ‘Is this the same Jason Derulo that did “Whatcha Say” and all that stuff?’ Then I started to see the song roll out internationally. I got really lucky, I was hooked up with a great opportunity.

Is it common for things to work like that?
Yeah, it’s very common. It’s actually a running joke, that you never make a song with the person that’s actually gonna end up singing it. That’s so uncommon. I only know a few stories of people doing that. It kind of happened with Jason and “Wiggle”. Axident and I started the track out in the desert near Joshua Tree. We made that one specifically for him.

Were you expecting “Talk Dirty” to be so big?
That sax hook is definitely undeniable. When I first heard it, I knew it was big. But I didn’t expect it to be quite as big as it was. When you’re working on these songs, you have to trust your instinct but then you can’t put too many eggs in one basket. If it feels good in the moment, send it off and let it be. You really never know if music fans in your city, state, country, the world are going to resonate with the same feeling you had. There’s no way to tell.

The song started a trend for percussion and sax in pop songs…
I’ve been doing the saxophone/bass stuff for a minute, and then you had the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis “Thrift Shop” record. It’s not like I invented funky sax. But I do think it is cool that I’m part of a movement of bringing stranger, louder sounds to the American mainstream. It does feel good to be encouraging people to push writers and producers.

What else have you been working on?
We have Fifth Harmony’s next one “Bo$$” — it’s a complete nutcracker that’s really gonna fuck people up. I have a Florida Georgia Line/Jason Derulo song coming out, which is weird. It’s pretty incredible. They tapped me to do the production on it and it’s wild. We also have a Tim McGraw song that’ll roll out in the next month or two. So just a lot of strange stuff!

Has “Talk Dirty” opened a lot of doors for you?
So many! My experience has always been that you have to claw for every opportunity, kick down every door and beg for every show that you get on. So when people said with “Talk Dirty” that opportunities would be coming to me, I still really didn’t get it. I was thinking that I’ll still be scrambling to get more songs cut and to make ends meet.

It would be easy to sit down and make a bunch of cheap sax replicas of “Talk Dirty” and to make a small amount of money in a short period of time, and then be wack and irrelevant in a couple months. It’s a matter of trying to be a few steps ahead of myself.

What does all this mean for your own music as Wallpaper?
I do think all of these things are part of one process and in order to figure out what my next move was, I had to get a lot of this stuff out of my system. It’s not like I would ever release a song like “Wiggle” for myself. I would sound silly if I was trying to deliver that hook. And I’m okay with that. All of this has helped me figure out what sound works well for me and not being all over the place. That’s a good feeling.

Are you working on new music?
Yeah, I have been. For me, that’s a bit of a deeper, more meditative and slightly slower process.

Who else would you like to produce for?
Some of my favorites are people that really push boundaries and leave a cultural footprint. Beyonce has always been somebody who’d I really love to work with. People like Adele, Sam Smith. I had a meeting with Nico & Vinz, they’re the fucking best. I think they’re incredible. The things they are working on now is unbelievable. It’s somewhere between Graceland-era Paul Simon and kind of ’80′s Peter Gabriel. It’s so fucking good!

Finally, do you have a production ideology of sorts?
Pop music needs to be challenged. There’s standards and rules in place, and we just need to blow that up and start over.

7 Questions With Ferras: His Obsession With Aliens, Friendship With Katy Perry & “Speak In Tongues” Video

Ferras made headlines earlier this year when he became the first artist signed to Metamorphosis Music — otherwise known as Katy Perry‘s very own record label. He wasted no time dropping an excellent self-titled EP and even convinced his boss/close friend to share vocal duties on power ballad “Legends Never Die”. It was a complete rebirth for an impossible-to-pigeonhole artist, who never got his due the first time around.

The 30-year-old alien enthusiast dropped by the Idolator studio to chat about his new music and opened up about signing to Katy’s label, the evolution of their above-mentioned duet and even his favorite song on Prism. (He has great taste!) Ferras also spoke about the soon-to-be-released video for EP highlight “Speak In Tongues” and his experiences as an out artist. Watch after the jump.

Match Made In Heaven

There’s still speculation whether or not Kendrick Lamar and Prince are working on a collaboration, and the two fueled the rumor mill by performing together on stage! The rapper joined the music legend for the album release celebration for Art Official Age and 3RDEYEGIRL‘s PLECTRUMELECTRUM, at the historic Paisley Park studios.

During the broadcasted performance on Yahoo, Lamar came on stage to add an energetic verse to Prince’s “What’s My Name” – a rare track from the 1988 Crystal Ball box set. It’s clear that Prince is a fan of the younger generation of artists – he recently played a brief snippet of his song with Rita Ora.

Watch the performance up top.

Tony Bennett And Lady Gaga’s ‘Cheek To Cheek’ Barely Outsells Kenny Chesney, Tops Album Chart

The race for #1 on the Billboard 200 over the past week was a tight one, but in the end it was Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga who (barely) won it. The pair’s collaborative album of jazz duets, Cheek To Cheek, topped the main album chart after selling 131,000 copies, thus giving 88-year-old Bennett his second #1 LP (after 2011′s Duets II) and 28-year-old Gaga her third (following 2011′s Born This Way and 2013′s ARTPOP).

Just behind Cheek To Cheek is Kenny Chesney‘s 17th studio LP The Big Revival, at #2 (130,000). Giving both a run for their money was last week’s #1 album, Barbra Streisand‘s Partners, which slips to #3 after selling another 127,000 copies.

Head below to see where the rest of this week’s players wound up on the album chart.

Rita Ora Gets Dark & Edgy On New Prince Collaboration: Listen To A Snippet

As part of the celebration for his new albums, his solo Art Official Age and 3RDEYEGIRL‘s PLECTRUMELECTRUM (which both dropped on September 30)Prince gave fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look of the release party. Along with a tour of his Paisley Park studio and a 20-minute live set of new music, the rocker also previewed a new track with Rita Ora.

Before his concert, Prince asked Josh Welton (the co-producer of Art Official Age) to play the snippet featuring Ora. What came out of the speakers is a sound we typically don’t associate with the “I Will Never Let You Down” singer. Instead of her comfort zone of bubbly synths, the song reveals edgy vocals that are laid over a savage, electronic-based production fit for a rockstar.

Ora has talked about this Prince collaboration for a while now, so it’s nice to finally hear what they have been working on - even if it’s just for a few seconds.

Lana Del Rey To Be Covered By Supreme Diva Jessica Lange On ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’?

Who from the cast of American Horror Story has the chops to cover Lana Del Rey during upcoming season Freak Show? Why, the Supreme, of course, Jessica Lange…at least according to a hinting tweet posted by AHS show runner Ryan Murphy.

A fan of the show tweeted at Murphy last night, “I’ve been a loyal viewer but I am OUT on this one…between trailers and your comments, it is more than I can handle ” This prompted Murphy to respond with the following: “Tina, don’t be afraid! The clown is scary, true. But don’t you wanna see Jessica Lange sing a Lana Del Rey song?”

Here’s the bit that likely freaked out poor Tina:

Freak Show‘s premiere airs on FX next week, on October 8. And the mind, it boggle at the possibilities of an appropriate LDR track to be covered by Oscar and Emmy winner Lange. But might we suggest “Dark Paradise,” “Gods & Monsters,” “Cruel World” or — you know, if she’s feeling saucy — “Cola”?

Cheryl Cole Is Unbothered On “I Don’t Care”: Listen To Her New Single

Cheryl Cole has zero phucks to give on her new single, “I Don’t Care” – the follow-up to her summer smash, “Crazy Stupid Love.” In contrast to her other songs like “Ghetto Baby,” there are no massive bass drops or an in-your-face dance theme – “I Don’t Care” is just a straight up Pop tune. In 2014′s haze of over-production, it’s actually quite refreshing!

The Girls Aloud solo star’s vocals shine as she nonchalantly tells the world, “It feels so fucking good to say, I swear that I don’t care!” It also has an ’80s carefree vibe to it, thanks to the breezy synths and pumping bass line. The track is the lead single from Cole’s upcoming fourth LP, tentatively titled Only Human.

Take a listen to “I Don’t Care” below.

Say Something…Minus Xtina

The novelty of pressing the buttons is officially over! Where as in night one of The Voice’s Blind Auditions Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton seemingly hit the red circle just for the physical thrill of the chair spin (who can blame them?), by Tuesday’s night four they were like, “Not worth the vertigo, bro.” Some strong singers were turned away, and some stronger ones were only approved by one or two coaches.

Don’t worry: in keeping with true Voice tradition, it was still mostly all compliments, and there were still a couple inexplicable four-chair turners.

Don’t bother wondering what goes through their pretty little coach minds, just start picking your favorites from among those who advanced.

Teen beauty pageant winner Katriz Trinidad has been singing since the age of eight, yet she never received word that Etta James’ “At Last” is a super cliché audition jam. Luckily, she’s so good that her powerful voice earns spins from Blake, Gwen and Pharrell, the latter of whom stands and hypnotically stares into her eyes during her performance.

“I’ve been dreaming for an artist like you for my whole career,” he adds, dropping to his knees.

“I’ve had a lot of luck with teenagers,” says Blake, which, while true, can’t help but sound super creepy. “You deserve to win this show.”

“I feel like you’re almost a perfect singer,” says Gwen. “At the end, you hit a note that was so beautiful, it was just mind-blowing.”

Begging and pleading works on Katriz, who joins team Pharrell.

Ethan Butler, 25 – Illinois

Soulful singer Ethan Butler dedicates his performance to his sister, who has cerebral palsy. Perhaps it’s the predisposition to like him based on that alone, but his jazzy performance of Labrinth’s “Beneath Your Beautiful” is very sweet. Blake and Adam immediately turn around.

“You were so lost in it,” says Adam. “I’m dying to be a part of what you do.”

“You’re more than ready for this competition,” adds Blake, who goes on about how Ethan’s uncool positioning of the guitar proves he’s a real musician.

Ethan will position his guitar wherever he wants, and moves over to Team Adam.

Tanner Linford, 17 – Missouri

It’s a real nail-biter when returner Tanner Linford takes the stage. The teenager, who was rejected after his performance of Rihanna’s “Stay” last year, sings Alison Krauss’ “When You Say Nothing At All.” It’s not until the very last moment — when even his family backstage has given up hope — that Blake turns around. The 17-year-
old just about loses it.

“I thought that was a girl!” exclaims non-spinner Gwen, deflating whatever joy Tanner may have been experiencing.

“I thought you did a great job, man,” says his new coach. “You’re meant to be on Team Blake.”

Jean Kelley, 29 – Tennessee

Feisty vocalist (which is a total Voice way to describe someone) Jean Kelley is already part of a band, but wants to make it on her own. She delivers an emotional performance of Kelly Clarkson’s “Already Gone,” and attracts the attention of both Blake and Gwen.

“I was on the fence about what you were capable of until the end when you hit that note,” says Blake.

“I can hear similarities in our voices,” says Gwen, who is a big fan of Gwen. “I hit my button because at the end you had all that range, a range I don’t have.”

After a brief interview from @NotThatGeneKelly, Gwen wins her over. Free shirt for you, Jean!

Chris Jamison, 20 – Pennsylvania

Voice hopeful Chris Jamison once played the peppershaker in his high school’s performance of Beauty And The Beast. If that doesn’t make you want to root for a triumph over adversity, nothing will. The only brother in a set of triplets, Chris apparently annoys his sisters with his amazing voice. He’s not annoying at all when he performs John Mayer’s “Gravity,” and he really goes for it with a whole slew of falsettos and runs. An interesting choice for a four-chair turn.

“It was really emotional, and I loved that,” says Adam, but adds, “If you were to do 85% of the stuff that you did it would have had a greater impact.”

“I think you got lost in the moment and you let it go, and I wasn’t mad at that,” says Pharrell.

“You recognized what this particular mission was, and it was to get somebody to push their button,” says Blake of Chris’s myriad runs. “You will have the spotlight on you if you join my team.”

Chris opts for constructive criticism, and joins Team Adam.

Craig Wayne Boyd, 35 – Tennessee

If you like mega amounts of fringe, mega amounts of vibrato, and a name that sounds like it belongs to a serial killer, you’re going to love Craig Wayne Boyd! The single dad sings Travis Tritt and Marty Stuart’s “The Whisky Ain’t Workin,” earns an obvious spin from Blake and a less expected (and futile) spin from Pharrell.

“There were a couple of ad libs in there that I thought, wow, these are super soulful,” say Pharrell.

“Let’s teach America some country music, what do you say?” says Blake. “Let’s turn The Voice into a honky tonk.”

Of course he wants to turn The Voice into a honky tonk. It was a valiant effort, Pharrell, but CWB joins Team Blake.

Toia Jones, 29 – Alabama

The stingy turns really come to a head with Toia Jones, a religious vocalist who even has what she calls a “holy dance.” Adele’s “One And Only” is a song that will either be performed really well or really poorly, and Toia nails it. It’s borderline shocking when Pharrell and Adam are the only two to turn around.

“You sang from the heart, and the canvas you painted was just so clear,” says Pharrell.

“There is no one like this on my team, so there is no competition for this particular style,” says Adam.

Toia joins Team Pharrell, and Team Everyone Else really misses out big.

Amanda Lee Peers, 29 – New York

Amanda Lee Peers used to enjoy singing at church, but was turned off from singing when her born again Christian faith cut her off for coming out as gay. Her now-girlfriend encouraged her to get back into music, which is lucky for everyone, because she is fantastic. Amanda sings ZZ Ward’s “Put The Gun Down,” and other than some breath issues, it’s incredibly entertaining.

Yet, again, not everyone is impressed. In fact, only Gwen presses her button.

“You guys are all really stupid, because she was amazing,” she says. Preach.

Jonathan Wyndham, 22 – South Carolina

Closing out the night is Jonathan Wyndham, whose own father lovingly (?) describes him as “dweeby.” He’s got a big personality, for certain, and is obsessed with going to every Cracker Barrel in the US. Having big dreams is important, y’all!

Jonathan sings A Great Big World’s “Say Something.” It’s beautiful, and he leaves it all on the stage. Speaking of the stage, the only disappointing aspect of the performance is that Xtina doesn’t come out from the floorboards in a lotus to harmonize.

Even sans Xtina, Jonathan earns spins from all four coaches.

“I loved how sincere it sounded,” says Gwen. “It just kept getting stronger and stronger.”

“I think this is a very small portion of who you are, and I need to see more,” says Adam.

“You’re not just a singer, you’re an artist,” says Blake, adding, “And we both like plaid.”

Choosing genre similarities over clothing pattern, Jonathan joins team Adam.

On the untelevised front, pop-hopeful Gianna Salvato joins Team Gwen, indie folk artist Rebekah Samarin joins Team Adam and 16-year-old singer Grant Ganzer joins Team Blake. He has a proven track record with teenagers, after all.

The Blind Auditions wrap up on Monday, when button stinginess is expected to reach an all time high. Get ready for some broken dreams!
