Nearly a year after “Applause,” the lead single off ARTPOP, arrived, Lady Gaga is back with an altogether different kind of release: her jazzy standards project with Tony Bennett, Cheek To Cheek. Today the pair pick up where they left off in 2011 with their Duets II cover of “The Lady Is A Tramp” by offering up the first taste of Cheek, “Anything Goes.”
Originally the title song from Cole Porter‘s 1934 Broadway musical, “Anything Goes” finds Gaga and Tony swapping lines amidst horns, cymbals and a big ol’ sax solo. All in all, it’s nice music to entertain guests to at your next classy dinner party.
