Snoop Dogg is in Austin this week to take part in, and take in, the SXSW festivities, and in between all the events he’s chilling in a pop-up home he designed in a partnership with Airbnb. We stopped by the Dogg house and chatted with the legend for a couple minutes, discussing Rick Ross, who recently said Mastermind was inspired by Snoop’s records like Doggystyle, as well his excitement about the new wave of West Coast rap, led by Kendrick Lamar.
“That’s awesome to hear,” he said of inspiring the Bawse. “That’s what I made it for, to make people feel good.” Snoop, in turn, says he’s inspired by the new school of Cali hip-hop, which keeps him motivated.
