Saturday Night Live, who is entering it’s 35th season, shocked many when they fired Michaela Watkins and Casey Wilson.
Casey Watkins’ firing isn’t quite as surprising as she was not included in many sketches being a full-time cast member last year. But Michaela Watkins was in her first season and had developed some great characters.
Watkins’ most well known impression was of Arianna Huffington, but she also played Ann Coulter, Barbara Walters, Glenn Close, Hoda Kotb, and Joan Rivers.
Casey Wilson has been quiet about her firing but Michaela Watkins spoke with Entertainment Weekly where they asked “what was Lorne thinking”.. but Michaela said Michaels told her she should have her own show.
