Robbie Williams proposed to his long-time girlfriend Aydda Field on Australian radio but his mother Jan confirms they are indeed engaged and that is was not a joke. Read more on Robbie’s engagement below.
Robbie Williams and Ayda Field spoke on Australian radio earlier today, but Robbie’s management said the couple had been joking.
But Robbie’s mother, Jan Williams, confirms the couple are going to marry and that her son revealed he was going to propose to Ayda a week ago. The couple have dated for about three years.
“He’s wanted to do something different and she’s a lovely girl and I’m really pleased for them,” Jan Williams explained, adding: “I’ve got a daughter-in-law, I’ve always wanted a daughter-in-law!”
Speaking about when she thought her son and Adya would marry, Jan revealed a ceremony could take place sooner rather than later.
“I don’t think it will be that far in the too-distant future, but that’s all I’m going to say on that,” she explained.
