Last week we posted an exclusive preview of Rixton’s satirical “Make Out” video and today (October 22) the boys unleash the finished product. For an introduction to a freshly signed band, the clip certainly makes an impression – spoofing recent visuals from pop heavyweights Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry.
Produced by Benny Blanco and Wallpaper., “Make Out” is an infectious guitar-pop anthem with a booming chorus and plethora of catchy hooks. The song is so strong it didn’t really need the elaborate video to make waves but I’m not complaining.
Who doesn’t want to see another dude impersonate Miley? Why is this the first time someone has recreated Gaga’s "Applause" MV with garbage bags and a fan? How did they find such glamorous ladies for the "Blurred Lines" spoof? Watch the up top and ponder these deep philosophical questions.
