Rita Ora joins the ranks of such illustrious names as Taylor Momsen and Georgia Jagger as the new face of Madonna‘s apparel line, Material Girl. The ’80s-influenced teen line is designed by Madge and her daughter Lourdes; reportedly, Lourdes, who is in charge of much of the brand’s creative vision, was the one who selected Ora for the campaign and encouraged she and Madonna to meet. (They met at the Met Ball, because obviously.)
Allegedly, Madonna signed Ora to a $765,000 deal, so sure, fine.
Ora has undeniably emerged as a fashion darling, although the charts have yet to respond to her in the United States with the same enthusiasm as they have abroad. Maybe this’ll do the trick. (But probably not.)
