Walt Disney’s animators lost one of their biggest patrons when Roy Disney passed away yesterday, but Rihanna is surely doing the Magic Kingdom proud with her latest music video, “Hard.” In the military-themed clip, the pop singer employs some subtlety by throwing on Mickey Mouse ears and straddling the gun turret on a big red tank. Ah, metaphors.

In this, the latest clip from Rated R, Rihanna also blasts off a machine gun and jiggles around while wearing dog tags, an army helmet…and not much else. Grace Jones (and Tina Turner) would approve.

“Hard” was directed by Melina Matsoukas, who’s also done behind-the-lens duty for Robin Thicke (”Sex Therapy”), Whitney Houston (”Million Dollar Bill”), Lady Gaga (”Just Dance”) and Kylie Minogue (”In My Arms”).
