Rachel Uchitel and her lawyer Gloria Allred will not be talking to the press today after all. Apparently Rachel Uchitel and Tiger Woods spoke last night and now the press conference is canceled. Hmm…did someone get a huge chunk of hush money? Read more on the Tiger Woods scandal below.

Gloria Allred, the well-known celebrity lawyer, was planning to speak at a news conference today in Los Angeles on behalf of her client Rachel Uchitel.  Allred was reportedly going to make a statement about Rachel’s relationship with Tiger Woods, but why was the press conference suddenly canceled?

Allred’s law firm made the announcement: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the news conference scheduled for today is canceled. There will be no further statements on this matter.”

Media sources believed Rachel Uchitel was ready to admit he affair with Tiger Woods today, after vehemently denying cheating with the golfer.

In Uchitel’s interview with the New York Post, Rachel said that drug abusing “hookers” made up the story of her affair and sold it to the Enquirer. “I told the [National] Enquirer and Star that it wasn’t true. I told them not only did I have information to disprove the story, but I offered to take a lie-detector test.”

And in her interview with Usmagazine.com Rachel insisted “the things that were said from the source in the Enquirer are, in fact, not true. The fact that [the source] took the polygraph is a lie in and of itself. The girl’s lying.”

She added: “I have not had an affair with him. I understand that there’s rumors all over because everybody’s talking about it. But I’m telling you, people say rumors about me all the time. People will say a ton of things about me.”

TMZ has reported that the fight between Tiger and his wife Elin began because of texts between Rachel and Tiger.

Elin Nordegren reportedly caught her husband texting Uchitel an hour before the car crash. Elin grabbed the phone from Tiger and tried to call Rachel Uchitel. They fought and broke Tiger’s phone in the process.

So do you guys think Tiger and Rachel Uchitel came to a deal… hush money for her to keep her mouth shut?  Some sources are reporting a possible $1 million deal to keep Rachel quiet.

We do know that Rachel originally planned to keep quiet and deny, deny, deny.
