bf49341b2d1eb11e3bb50ca3d5a016ab Pia Toscano Signs To Interscope, Will Drop Debut Single “This Time” Next WeekRight before the American Idols Live! tour kicks off in Utah tomorrow night comes the news that Season 10’s Pia Toscano has officially signed to Idol mentor Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope Records. The ninth-place finisher will release her debut album sometime this year, and her first single “This Time” will drop on July 12.

“This Time” is described as being “an acoustic guitar and beat-driven track” penned by Ester Dean, who also co-wrote Idol champ Scotty McCreery’s coronation song “I Love You This Big”, in addition to hits for Rihanna, Beyonce and Katy Perry. It was previously reported that Pia has been also working with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins on a few tracks. Yeah, we’re excited for this one.
