3. Simon Cowell would be best known in America for having signed Westlife, an Irish boy band that landed one Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 back in 2000.
3. "Dawg" would have peaked with a flop 1994 New Kids On The Block single.
5. Men would not flat-iron their hair. Except for Ryan Seacrest.
6. Without Simon Cowell being a household name in the States, we wouldn't have tuned in to Britain's Got Talent on YouTube, which means grandma wouldn't have had a Susan Boyle CD in her stocking this year.
7. Pop Idol would have aired for more than two seasons in the U.K.
8. Kelly Clarkson would never have fought with onetime manger Simon Fuller, who she felt was not focused on her career.
9. Randy Jackson would still be touring with Journey version 7.0.
10. Christmas would have to be celebrated without William Hung's Hung For The Holidays.
11. Jennifer Hudson would never have given her career-defining turn in Dreamgirls.
12. Katharine McPhee would never have given her career-defining turn in The House Bunny.
13. Carrie Underwood wouldn't have four Grammys, five American Music Awards and 14 Billboard Music Awards.
