Paris Hilton interviewed Lil Wayne for Interview magazine, I guess because they’re labelmates at Cash Money now, and it was just as hard-hitting as you would expect a Paris Hilton convo to be. The chat was loaded with soul-searching questions like “So what do you like to be called, Wayne or Lil Wayne?” and “What’s your favorite club in Miami?” as well as “Do you ever dream?” Basically, Hilton’s performance here makes a pretty strong case for the “Paris Hilton should be the only person allowed to interview other people from now on” campaign. Which is now a campaign, we’ve decided. (Also, can we get a copy of the raw audio of this session? K thanks.)
There are many highlights to be gleaned from this Q&A, so let’s get to it. Firstly, we learned that Paris and Weezy have a lot in common:
* They both did hard time
* They both were rumored to be dead at one point (great exchange or THE GREATEST exchange?: WAYNE: The most bizarre thing I’ve ever read about myself is that I was dead. That was kind of weird to read that I’m dead-mostly because I was reading it. [both laugh] HILTON: I read that about myself once, too. It’s pretty bizarre.)
* They both love LIV at the Fontainebleau Hotel
* They both love Amsterdam
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Head below to see what other enlightening tidbits were uncovered during this celebrity rap sesh.
*Paris said she loved Rebirth, Wayne’s universally unloved rock album. No sentient being loves it, which may finally prove Paris Hilton is not a sentient being.
*Weezy has very humble aspirations: “As long as people remember me forever, that will be enough for me.” Forever. Very reasonable.
*Don’t you worry about Paris, she’s got plenty of balls in the air at the moment. “I’d really love to finish my album, because I’ve been working on it for so long, but I’ve had so many other projects that it’s hard to focus on one thing.”
*Weezy. Humble. But you already knew that. “I don’t listen to nobody else’s music but my own.”
