Well! One Direction‘s latest opus Midnight Memories hits retailers on Monday, and they’re doing their crazy 1D Day livestream thing tomorrow, so we’re approaching a peak One Direction saturation state with respect to the national media — and behold, the boys have taken the cover of this week’s issue of industry bible Billboard, looking awful handsome in their cover photo, with a Q&A inside.
It’s not particularly revealing (they never are) — there’s nothing scandalous of note! — and most of the answers are stuff like this: When asked whether they get homesick, Niall Horan responded, “All the time, luckily I have my four bestmates on the road with me to keep me from getting lonely.” Sigh.
But! They do talk a little bit about taking a more active role in the songwriting process: “[W]e’ve always wanted to get involved on the writing side and while we’ve been on tour this year we’ve been able to do that, we’ve written on 15 of the 18 tracks and we’re really excited for everyone to hear them,” explained Louis Tomlinson.
As for their fans (yes, that’s you)? Horan still loves ya, girl. “There’s nothing to not like, our fans are THE best fans in the world,” he said.
And there you have it. Straight from the horse’s mouth. Keep on fangirling, Directioners.
