The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was punched in an altercation outside a South Bend, Indiana bar on Sunday. Read more on Jimmy Clausen’s sucker punch below.
Jimmy Clausen received a black eye but no serious injury, and no police report was filed.
The paper the incident took place around 2:30 a.m. when an “irate fan” threw a “sucker punch” at Clausen.
The sucker punch allegedly occurred just hours after the Irish lost a double-overtime home game to Connecticut.
An employee at CJ’s Pub confirmed Clausen was there with family members and other team members, but said the incident “absolutely did not take place inside the bar.”
