Michael Anthony Vitar (born December 21, 1978) in Los Angeles, California is an American child actor most notably appearing in The Sandlot as Benny “the Jet” Rodriguez. At the end of that film, the older version of his character was played by his brother, Pablo. Mike started his acting career at the age of twelve, and has been acting ever since. He also played Luis Mendoza in D2: The Mighty Ducks and D3: The Mighty Ducks. In addition to his brother, Mike has an older sister named Elizabeth. He is now a firefighter with the Los Angeles Fire Department. He currently lives in California. He attended St. Francis High School in La Cañada, California. He was married in 2007.
