The Los Angeles City Attorney has opted not to file charges against the paparazzo either.
Former boxer, Tyson, allegedly punched photographer Tony Echevarria in November as he arrived LAX on a flight with his wife, Lakiha Spicer, and their 10-month-old daughter Milan.
Tyson and the photographer made citizen’s arrests on each other and were taken to the police station, where they were booked for identical misdemeanor battery charges.
The pap said that Tyson lashed out without provocation, but Tyson said the photographer “attacked” him.
Echevarria said he had to have five stitches after Tyson, 43, punched him at least four times.
Tyson worried the incident would violate the terms of his three-year probation from a drug arrest in Arizona back in 2007, but the City Attorney rejected the case on New Year’s Eve, citing “insufficient evidence”.
It looks like the year will start off right for Mike Tyson!
