Maroon 5 may lament the perils of being Overexposed on their new album, but one of the album’s bonus tracks, they’re inspired by a man who never had any trouble exposing himself — Prince. As the folks over at Popdust note, the cover is a departure from the rest of the LP’s offerings, ironically “grungier” and less poppy than other tracks. Does Adam Levine now have moves like Prince instead of Jagger? We doubt it, but we wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to see him in some sort of shimmery purple velvet suit, if ever Maroon 5 should take their fandom one step further.
