Shock rocker Marilyn Manson and actress Evan Rachel Wood are engaged!  Read more on Marilyn and Evan’s engagement below.

Marilyn Manson proposed to Evan Rachel Wood while he was doing a show in Paris on Monday.

Marilyn, 41, and Evan, 22, began dating in 2006 but split in 2008.

This past year Manson revealed he was so upset over his breakup with Wood that he obsessed about the actress and called her constantly.  Manson said that Evan helped him be a better person.

“Sometimes you feel awkward being what you’re best at, you feel like you have to be something new. But I think that a lot of people will agree that me being me at my best is what I need to be. I think that really paid off because I’m back with Evan,” he said.

Evan has described Marilyn in Elle magazine in 2007 as a “lovely, really human and just amazing. It may surprise you just how healthy and loving our relationship is.”

Marilyn’s first marriage that ended in divorce was burlesque performer, Dita Von Teese.
