Girl group Little Mix still have one of the year’s best singles with “Move,” but they’ve since moved on (alas!) to the not-quite-as-great-but-still-pretty-solid sophomore single from their upcoming LP Salute, “Little Me.” It’s a much more inspirational tune, all about overcoming self-doubt through time travel (or something), and accordingly, the video captures the song’s essence quite nicely.
Footage of kids talking about their dreams for adulthood is intercut with moody, black-and-white footage of Little Mix in some kind of warehouse-y environment, which hammers the point home effectively that you should always reach for the stars and achieve your dreams and that kind of thing. Crucially, though, the girls look and sound excellent — like they themselves are growing up and doin’ it all for themselves.
Watch it up top; Salute hits stateside shores February 4.
