Lest anyone still think that Lil Wayne is taking his rock persona (or the religious undertones of his album title) less than seriously, he starts off the first video from his Amazon-leaked Rebirth album by playing guitar next to a stack of Marshall amps — in front of a stained-glass window. Through the rest of the Chris Robinson-directed clip, we see shots of Weezy rocking over that Amy Holland sample, interspersed with images of snakes and cherubim, while he seduces (or is it ‘is seduced by’?) the “Hell’s angel” referenced in the song. Sidenote: cliche as the image is, we will say that the performance by whoever Wayne cast puts Ashley Tisdale’s acting job to shame. Well, to more shame. Light up “On Fire” below.
