This surely wasn’t the first queen Lady Gaga’s met during her music career, but it might be the first one she flew across an ocean to bow down to. Gaga performed last night in Blackpool, England, at the Royal Variety Performance. In lieu of the skin-bearing attire she wears in videos like “Bad Romance,” the 23-year-old singer instead donned a red Elizabethan gown that had her covered from the neck down.

During the evening, Gaga performed “Speechless” while playing a piano ten feet off the floor of the stage. Other artists at the gig included Michael Buble, Miley Cyrus, Mika and 2008 X Factor winner Alexandra Burke.
