Troubled reality TV star Kerry Katona might have to fight for custody of her children after her drug addiction has been revealed.
“I’ll fight to get custody of my kids and bring them to Ireland,” the Sun quoted him as saying.
Kerry Katona was recently caught snorting drugs at her Cheshire home and was also given a caution for assaulting her accountant.
Brian told TV host Ryan Tubridy: “It is manic. Kerry’s also just got arrested.”
The Irish singer is presently in Australia with his fiancée Delta Goodrem but plans to return to his country if he gets his kids back.
He said: “If I get full custody of the kids, I will be coming back to Ireland.”
Meanwhile, Katona, who has been fired from her hosting of TV commercials for food giant Iceland and said to be suicidal, is reportedly terrified after hearing Brian’s comments.
From The Sun:
Jet-lagged Brian McFadden flew halfway round the world to see his two young girls… but his journey may have been wasted.
Pals of the former Westlife star claim that his troubled ex-wife Kerry Katona has banned him from seeing his girls.
Brian jetted in from his home in Australia to spend the weekend with Molly, seven, and Lilly-Sue, six.
But friends says Kerry, who had earlier agreed to the plan, suddenly ignored all his attempts to reach her – and Brian’s plans for the weekend lay in ruins.
However, Kerry insisted last night he HADN’T been banned from seeing them.
Brian has not spoken to his ex for four years.
They communicate through his mother Mairead, who says Brian was due to collect the girls on Friday after school. The friend said: “Brian has been extremely worried about his daughters but he wanted to wait for the dust to settle a little before flying in to see Molly and Lilly-Sue. He is desperate to find out if they are OK after everything that’s happened.”
Brian flew into Dublin on Thursday, almost three weeks after Kerry, 29, was filmed snorting cocaine at her Cheshire mansion while his children were downstairs. Days later the ex-Atomic Kitten, who was axed from her €286,000 Iceland deal, was arrested for attacking her accountant.
Says our source: “Brian believes Kerry wants to make out he is not bothered about his kids. He lives in Australia – his career’s there. But he doesn’t want to uproot the girls and drag them halfway across the world.”
Brian, engaged to pop star Delta Goodrem, revealed he is too broke for a custody battle.
In an interview with RTE’s Late Late show, he said: “Kerry can’t afford a court case at the moment, neither of us can. Our last one pretty much cleaned me out.” He said he’ll come back to Ireland if he gets custody of the kids. “I want Kerry to give me the kids and me and my mum will look after them for the next six months to a year to give her time to get her life together,” he said.
Last night Kerry’s spokesman said Brian had not asked for the girls last weekend. He added: “Kerry has not banned Brian from seeing his kids.”
