Lady Gaga may still be trying to find a venue big enough to contain her at South By Southwest later this month, but even without Mother Monster there, iTunes Festival has been sure to fill the star quota. For the fest’s first SXSW iteration, Coldplay, Pitbull, Imagine Dragons, Keith Urban, Soundgarden and Zedd are on the lineup in Austin, and now Kendrick Lamar has been added.
Lamar will perform with fellow TDE signees Isaiah Rashad and Schoolboy Q, who both recently dropped new releases. The three are scheduled for March 12, and the performance will be streaming, as is iTunes Fest tradition.
(And with Imagine Dragons in town, we guess it’s plausible at some point they’ll link up with K-Dot again for “Radioactive,” although I think everyone can agree it would be much, much radder if Lamar spazzes out during “Black Hole Sun” or “Rusty Cage” with Soundgarden.)
