So am I the only one who’s getting super excited for newly pregnant songstress Kelly Clarkson‘s upcoming holiday special, Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale? First, there’s the fact that it’s called Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale, which sort of promises something extraordinary.
Now, it’s gotten even better with the addition of some eccentric co-stars — namely, William Shatner, Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Williams, who join Danica Patrick, Heidi Klum, Jay Leno, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood. In other words, this is probably a thing that you should be watching.
Also, since it wouldn’t be a Kelly Clarkson Christmas without an elaborate metanarrative: Reportedly, the show tells the story of Clarkson hosting a holiday special in order to boost her popularity, but instead she ends up learning an important lesson. (Hopefully it’s about friendship or family or self-acceptance, or maybe all three. That sounds really nice.)
The show airs December 11 at 10pm E.S.T. on NBC.
