Ke$ha‘s mother, Pebe Sebert, is checking into the same rehab facility as her daughter. She’s admitting herself for post-traumatic stress disorder, following Ke$ha’s own struggles with bulimia — and Dr. Luke‘s denial that he was partially responsible.
Ke$ha, flagship artist of Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records, checked into Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center, near Chicago, on January 3. A week later, Sebert accused the producer of calling his protege a “refrigerator” during the making of a music video, which he promptly denied.
“This whole Dr. Luke thing has almost torn our family apart and taken over my life, and Ke$ha wants me to heal along with her,” Sebert says.
Last fall, she posted a “Free Ke$ha” petition — as in, from Dr. Luke specifically — and elaborated on a Rolling Stone statement that her daughter wanted more “creative freedom.” One fan asked whether her label RCA or the producer was responsible. “dr luke,” Sebert said.
