Demure wallflower Ke$ha and her single “TiK ToK” are enjoying another big week, with the song returning to its peak, #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. That sets up a sassy-blonde-off between Ke$ha and Lady Gaga, but the Dr. Luke-coached newbie is already armed for a followup assault on the chart—and from what we can tell, it’s likely to make “TiK ToK” sound like part of the Susan Boyle repertoire.
The glitter-loving lass teamed up with snarky electronic duo 3OH!3 for “Blah Blah Blah, ” which is rumored to be her next single. Preview of the track, plus some more brilliant Ke$ha quotes, after the jump.
Gotta love a woman whose got the balls to sing “I don’t care where u live at, just turn around boy and let me hit that, don’t be a little bitch with your chit chat, just show me where your dicks at.” Sure makes Britney’s “If You Seek Amy” seem totally innocent by comparison, no? Ke$ha discusses her saucy, sexual lyrics to The Observer:
“People are shocked by it, but if I were Guns ‘N’ Roses or Van Halen, no-one would be surprised. Or a rapper – look at all those songs on the radio that are, like, ‘Girl go up and down the pole’. I mean, dance for me dudes! I understand I’m supposed to be feminine and dainty, but I’m not. People are more impressed with things that I do because they almost treat you as if you’re handicapped if you’re a woman… people can be impressed that I can play a few chords on the guitar.”
How about co-headlining a tour with the hottest guitar player we’ve ever seen, Orianthi? (John Mayer has jumped on the bandwagon, and to tell the truth we think she’d kick his ax if push came to shove.) It’s about time there was an edgier, rock version of Lilith Fair, and we wouldn’t put it past somebody like Ke$ha to start it.
