Although they only began dating this past October, sources are saying that singer Katy Perry and British comic Russell Brand are engaged!  Read more on Brand and Perry’s rumored engagement below.

Several media sources are reporting that Russell Brand has proposed to his girlfriend Katy Perry and that she has accepted, although they have not confirmed their engagement as of yet.

The Daily News out of the UK has reported the couple is engaged. “Russell knows Katy’s the one for him,” an insider told the newspaper, saying Brand popped the question during a ski trip right before Christmas. “He’s never been into a girl like he has with her and they’re besotted. He asked her to marry him last week and she quickly said yes.”

The source also states that Russell Brand and Katy Perry will marry in 2010.

“Katy’s thrilled with Russell and how he is ­making so much effort,” the insider said. “Russell also has the ­approval of Katy’s ­parents and everyone in the pair’s close circle knows about the ­engagement.”

Some think Brand and Perry are waiting until the New Year to make their engagement announcement.
