It’s very important to Katy Perry that you understand that she let the light back in with all things related to her new album Prism, and lo and behold, even her latest sponsorship deal is prismatic: She’s the latest face of CoverGirl Cosmetics, joining such luminaries as A Number Of Former America’s Next Top Model Winners Who Have Long Since Faded Into Obscurity, and also some people like Rihanna and Taylor Swift, so no big deal.
The ad shows Perry sporting a surprisingly fresh-faced look, short of a sharp purplish lip color; there’s some light refracted in the shot, which aligns with the whole look of the Prism campaign.
She posted it on Facebook and posited the question to her fans: “See what happens when you let the light in?” Yes, Katy. Indeed we do.
