Katy Perry And Pink Reign Supreme On The Australian End Of Year Charts

c9ac3560fe3fa4f0952cc23e08cba43d Katy Perry And Pink Reign Supreme On The Australian End Of Year Charts

The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has announced its end of year charts and a couple of familiar superstars take top honors. Katy Perry‘s global smash “Roar” was the highest-selling single in Australia in 2013, while Pink‘s The Truth About Love was the most successful LP by a massive margin. (It went eight times platinum Down Under).

While International stars like Daft Punk, One Direction and Bruno Mars appear several times on both countdowns, local acts more than held their own. Albums by Flume, Tina Arena and X Factor winner Dami Im proved popular with music fans as did singles from Matt Corby, Vance Joy and Guy Sebastian. Props to Beyonce for scoring the 23rd best-selling LP of 2013 in Australia in just three weeks. Sell the full countdowns after the jump.
