Justin Timberlake is hinting that he may release a new single from The 20/20 Experience – 2 Of 2 today (September 19), but one thing we know he will do is debut more new songs from that album live this weekend. Timberlake is headlining the second night of the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday in Las Vegas, and he told On Air with Ryan Seacrest that he plans to use the gig to unveil a handful of songs live for the first time.
“I have not put the set list together yet because, as you know, I procrastinate on things like that, but we are looking at playing some new material from the second half of this record,” he told Seacrest. “So I’m excited for people to hear it.”
Timberlake also explained how he decided to split up the two volumes of the album. “The songs that I released in March just reminded me of summertime a little bit more and the songs that are coming out this month felt a little darker so they made me feel like … the fall/winter collection.” Part 2 of The 20/20 Experience is out September 30.
