A Tyler, Texas teacher, Todd Henry, was stabbed early this morning and later died. Read more on this tragic incident that locked down the John Tyler High School campus this morning.
The Tyler Morning Telegraph reported the incident took place in a classroom. Henry was removed by ambulance to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, but later died.
The student suspected in the stabbing is in custody, Reid said. The student’s name has not yet been released.
Teacher Todd Henry was stabbed with a knife in the neck and shoulder area, and Henry worked with special-needs children with behavioral problems.
Jody Henry told The Associated Press that his 50-year-old brother, who was attacked Wednesday morning, was an “accomplished and respected guitarist.” Todd Henry was a music therapist who worked with special needs students.
