Jay-Z’s artwork for his forthcoming Blueprint 3 was released to the world today, and it’s something like a Rorschach test: Everyone sees something different in it!
First, the cover.

Friend of Idolator Reed Fischer noted that the “white instruments on a white background” motif had been previously utilized by the Secret Machines on their 2004 album Now Here is Nowhere:

And then we have the multiple lines of U2’s most recent album No Line On The Horizon:

And then there is the “stark background with striking red element” motif of Jay collaborator Kanye West’s 808s and Heartbreak

It’s like a Frankenstein of other album covers that actually made their way into big-box stores over the past five years! Feel free to share what you see in the Blueprint 3 cover here.
