Jamar Pinkney Sr., 37, reportedly stripped his 15 year-old son Jamar Pinkney Jr. naked and shot and killed him execution style after his teen son had admitted inappropriate contact with his 3 year-old half-sister. Read more on this tragic story below.
Jamar Pinkney Jr.’s mother, Lazette Cherry, told news media that Jamar Pinkney Sr. came to her home after she told him of her teen son’s troubling confession.
Cherry said the 15-year-old had admitted having “inappropriate contact” with his 3-year-old half sister.
“I called and told his father this isn’t something you sweep under the rug,” Cherry Lazette told the reporter.
Pinkney Sr. started out by pistol whipping his son in the living room where he lived with his mother Cherry. Pinkney Sr. then took his son outside naked into the lot and had him kneel down. The 15 year-old boy begged for his life as his mother watched the horrific scene. Pinkney then shot his son execution style in the head.
Jamar Pinkney Sr. faces one count of first-degree murder, three counts of felonious assault and one count of felony firearm.
Jamar’s aunt, Yolanda Cherry, said a relative took the 3 year-old girl to a doctor to be examined on Sunday and she showed no indications of sexual abuse.
“There is nothing normal about killing your child,” Cherry said. “I don’t know why he shot him. He was a good boy. This is so sad.”
The boy’s aunt tells her version of the events:
“He beat my nephew real bad in the head, where he had knots like he had been in a boxing ring … [When Cherry tried to intervene, the father pulled out a gun.]“
“I ran down the street to get police down here and I heard a gunshot.”
