It’s been rumored for weeks and finally has been confirmed that the handsome pilot from Dallas, Jake Pavelka, will be “The Bachelor”. Read more on Jake Pavelka below!

ABC has chosen Jake Pavelka, who competed for the love of Jillian Harris on the last season of “The Bachelorette,” but lost.

Pavelka seems excited to have the 25 ladies competing to win his heart on “The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love,” which will begin filming soon.

“I’ve dated some really amazing girls, but I’ve never been successful at finding that one girl,” Pavelka told People. “I saw how the whole thing comes together, the process with Jillian. I saw how the process works and I believe in it. That’s a unique way to meet somebody.”

The new season is scheduled to premiere in January.
