Dennis Cole passed away at a Fort Lauderdale hospital on Sunday at the age of 69. Cole’s cause of death is not known.
The former actor and stuntman lived in Ft. Lauderdale, where he had worked as a real estate broker in recent years.
Dennis Cole is known for guest appearances in 1970s television series as “The Love Boat,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “Murder, She Wrote” and “Baywatch.”
Cole’s cameo on “Charlie’s Angels” is where Cole met and married the actress Jaclyn Smith in 1978. The couple were the subject of intense media scrutiny until their breakup and divorce in 1981.
Cole went on to perform his own musical review at showrooms in Hollywood and Las Vegas, and appeared in theatrical productions of “Victor/Victoria” and “Blood Brothers”.
Dennis Cole’s only child was shot and killed in 1991 at the age of 30. Joe Cole was working as a roadie for the rock band Black Flag and was the victim of a robbery as he and singer Henry Rollins returned to the Venice-area house they shared.
Cole moved to Florida where he married and recently divorced Ree Cole. Cole is survived by his brother Richard.
