Jack Tweed, 22, and events promoter Ashley Rubin have been arrested after a 19 year-old girl said she was sexually assaulted at Tweed’s East London home.
The young woman immediately went to the police to report the accident and Tweed and Rubin were arrested, and are being held for questioning.
The Sun UK reports that the girl met Tweed and his friends at a nightclub and then went back to his home. She said Tweed and Rubin raped her in the bedroom.
A Met spokesman said: “A female in her late teens has made an allegation of rape.
“The alleged incident occurred in the Redbridge area in the early hours of this morning.
“Two men in their 20s have been arrested in connection with inquiry and remain in custody at an East London police station.”
The case will likely be handed to the Met’s Operation Sapphire sex crimes unit.
One source said: “The allegation is very serious and at the higher end of sexual assaults in terms of its gravity.”
Jack Tweed’s life has been a mess after his wife, Jade Goody, 27, died of cancer in March.
“I don’t really know how I’m bearing up at the moment. I’m drinking quite a lot, which I shouldn’t be,” he said last month.
“I shouldn’t be saying it but I don’t want to lie to anyone and I am drinking quite a lot and I’ve got to go and see someone or I’ve got to stop.”
