After singer George Michael’s car accident and arrest on Friday, he is peaking out letting everyone know he was sober at the time of the crash. Read more on what George Michael had to say below.
George Michael wanted to clear the air to let his fans and family know that both drivers involved in the car accident were totally sober.
“Neither of us was charged because we were both stone cold sober,” says Michael. “We both think the other is to blame so this is just an insurance fight.”
Michael is just out of a two-year driving ban that came from operating a vehicle under a “cocktail of drugs.” But George wants everyone to know he was not drinking. George Michael stated: “I don’t want my fans or my family worried by what they are reading all over again.”
The former pop star was taken in for questioning in London early Friday morning after mangling his Range Rover into the back of a truck. He was released without charge a few hours later.
