‘Frozen’ Freezes Up The Album Chart Again, Comes For ‘Titanic’s Wig

As Disney’s animated blockbuster Frozen continues to rake in the bucks at the box office — its current receipts stand at $384 million — the soundtrack moves back to the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 for a fifth, non-consecutive week. Adding to the movie’s clout is the fact that it’s going into the weekend as a strong Oscar contender for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song (for “Let It Go). (Idolator writer Mike Wood is predicting it’ll win in the latter category.)

Billboard notes that Frozen now has the honor of being the soundtrack with the most weeks at #1 since Titanic‘s epic 16-week stint atop the main chart in 1998. The longest stay at the top for a soundtrack in the SoundScan era (since May 25, 1991) was the 20-week reign of The Bodyguard.

Head below to see how the rest of the Top 10 played out this week.
