Fran Drescher – The Nanny – Sexy Appreciation – Watch the best video clips here
Love her or hate her, Fran Drescher, best known for her role in the TV show The Nanny, might be returning to the original boob tube this summer. But it won’t be as an annoying comedy character with an irritating voice. If it happens, she’ll be a talk show host, possibly with Fox News or MSNBC — something she’s apparently tweeting about recently, amongst her tweets about her BF (boyfriend) and eating peach cobbler.

With Oprah set to end the TV talk show host chapter of her life, I can understand that some producers think there’ll be a (huge) void to fill. Though I can just imagine it now: Fran Drescher will be the first talk show host ever whose guests refuse to appear until she stops talking. If you’ve never heard Drescher’s Nanny character, it’s like listening to a combination of nasal wheeze and nails-on-chalkboard.

Now that aside, I have nothing against Drescher. She survived rape at gunpoint in front of her husband, then struggled through and survived uterine cancer. She’s obviously a strong person. Besides, the attractive actress seems to be a very sweet person, unlike so many primadonna celebs. But here are some thoughts for the producers of said talk show: Drescher just doesn’t have a talk show voice. On the other hand, if she studies classic talk show hosts and apply their skills, maybe she’ll succeed. You know, the kind of old-school talk show host who shuts the hell up after asking a guest a question, instead of rambling on like so many today do? Gawd, can someone please bring Mike Douglas back to life and have him host instead?
