Foster The People‘s new single “Coming Of Age” wouldn’t sound out of place on a John Hughes movie soundtrack, so it’s only fitting that the video plays like a series of vignettes from his ’80s-defining films. The nostalgic visual documents the trials and tribulations of some all too familiar characters.
There’s the down-on-his-luck school mascot, the struggling boxer who can’t quite cut it and a kid on the lam from the law. Those scenes are intercut with the band performing on a color-washed stage, which pulls the whole thing together nicely. “Coming Of Age” is the first taste of the band’s sophomore set Supermodel, due March 14. Watch up top.
