Word on the street is that Martin is first on the list for the yet to be created iPhone 5, in exchange for lending “Viva La Vida” to an iPod commercial, doing this gig and naming his daughter after Jobs’ company—okay, so we made that up.

The 2010 Emmy Awards have drawn to a close and we have the winners in the order they appeared.  Jimmy Fallon once again played host for the event and unlike some other shows (cough Oscars cough) the show ran in a decent amount of time, even if five different categories were included.

What do you think about those chosen to win an Emmy?

It looks like being arrested on marijuana charges during the World Cup in Africa is the least of Paris Hilton’s worries at the moment as it’s being reported by PEOPLE.com that the hotel heiress was arrested on Saturday with cocaine in her possession.

Here’s the stupidity of the year award part of this most recent arrest, Hilton was in a Black Escalade that was stopped when police saw marijuana smoke billowing out of the vehicle, at which time they found what appeared to be cocaine in Hilton’s purse and was later confirmed to be the illegal substance.

Paris posted bail shortly after the incident.

Paris also had a run-in with the law in 2007 when her DUI arrested forced her to spend 23 days in jail. After her released Hilton told Larry King during an interview that she was re-examining her party lifestyle, given her last few months, she must have evaluated partying to be an important aspect of her life.

Before we jump to conclusions, Hilton is saying the cocaine wasn’t hers. Her defense? She says she would never be caught dead with the handbag it was found in, with high priced lawyers on her side she may even make a judge and jury believe that story. Perhaps she isn’t as dumb as we all think, maybe she used the decoy bag on purpose for that very defense…nah, she really is too stupid to think that one up.

Here’s the quote HuffPo originally posted:

According to Mayer, the above quote is “fabricated” and “misleading.”

“Huffington Post, this is reporting?” he begins, just getting started. “How do you pay your writers now, in Silly Bandz? Do you meet your sources in a malt shoppe?”

“I don’t think I ever said ‘I believe in second chances!’ but I can’t be 100 percent sure, as it’s possible I could have accidentally said something succinctly and to the point,” he continues. He then explains that the next two sentences in the quote are pulled from two different songs, “Half Of My Heart” and “Edge Of Desire”—both of which were performed at two different points during his Hollywood Bowl concert.

But oh, there’s more!

“The reason I’m calling you out instead of all the other magazines that make stories up out of thin air is that In Touch and Star Magazine aren’t concurrently writing pieces about Pat Tillman or WikiLeaks. Those other rags know who they are, and even if they’re obnoxious, I’d rather have to live with them because they (and the rest of the world) know where they stand, which doesn’t make them one tenth as dangerous as you are. You’re a stripper wearing reading glasses. Or maybe you’re an insolvent law student willing to dance for a few extra dollars. Either way, it’s uncomfortable to watch you try to wrap yourself around a pole when you have that C-Span scar.”

He ends his biting post by suggesting how they may update their story with his response and a new headline: “JOHN MAYER SLAMS HUFFPO: ‘GO F**K YOURSELF!’”

HuffPo updated their article with Mayer’s retort, along with an update that “the first quote mentioned in the original post was not initially attributed as it should have been,” and that it originally came from a site called the Express, a U.K. news outlet.

We’re not always on board with what comes out of John Mayer’s mouth—sexual napalm, anybody?—but good for him for speaking up when a news agency gets it way wrong. Maybe Mayer should go bitch at the people at the Express, too. He can send them a link to this video!

Kelis – “4th Of July (Fireworks)” (alternate Twitter version)

Kelis’ interactive clip reminds us of her All Hearts tour co-headliner Robyn, who also took to Twitter to create the 3-D video for her track “Don’t Tell Me What To Fucking Do” (which, in retrospect, should have been included in our F-Bomb Pop Playlist).

We’re assuming the tour name is a clever play on the L.A. rappers’ hit “Fly Like A G6″ and Posner’s debut album title, 31 Minutes To Takeoff.
