Former “Saved By the Bell” actor, Dustin Diamond has stated that television bosses paid off a girl that his co-star Mario Lopez date-raped in 1993. Read more on Dustin’s claims below.

Dustin Diamond played the nerdy Samuel “Screech” Powers in the show “Saved By the Bell”.  Now Diamond is making shocking allegations in his memoir called Behind the Bell.

Dustin has one chapter in his book called “A.C. Makes the Ladies Scream”.  In this chapter Dustin states that Mario Lopez was a major womanizer that used his fame to take advantage of his female fans.

He wrote, “(Lopez) hit on every co-star, every extra, every production assistant and every fan he found himself sitting next to.”
Mario Lopez was involved in a date-rape scandal in 1993 when a teenage girl said Lopez  lured her to his home and raped her.

There was an investigation but Mario Lopez was not arrested and no charges were filed. But Dustin Diamond says the girl only chose not to press charges against Lopez when the NBC execs paid her $50,000 to “keep her mouth shut”.

Dustin said he really wasn’t at all surprised to hear of Mario’s date-rape case because “He didn’t take no for an answer.”
