Law enforcement investigating the death of Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) have revealed that his death is more likely from an accidental overdose and not suicide. Read more on DJ AM’s death investigation below.
TMZ is reporting that DJ AM, who was a former drug addict, became dependent on Xanax (anti-anxiety drug) after his plane crash a year ago.
DJ AM had developed a serious fear over flying, which is something he had to do frequently for his job. Goldstein’s doctors prescribed Xanax and other anti-anxiety medications to help him but the prescription drugs brought on a relapse of his drug addiction.
DJ AM’s drug relapse was reportedly “recent”.
Police sources tell TMZ that Goldstein’s likely cause of death will be the deadly combination of the crack cocaine and the prescription medications for anxiety.
